Here is our favorite Cat Pictures for October 2008. Our top selection this month is of our big lovable white furrball, Spooky originally from our Pictures of Cats 2008 – October 27 post. Spooky is in one of his favorite afternoon napping spots.

It’s soft, hidden and warm when the afternoon sun comes in the back window. We’re trying to find another spot he’ll like just as much since we’ve been getting furry butts sitting down at dinner time after Spooky has been sleeping there most of the afternoon.

Strange things are happening around here again with the cats. It’s most peculiar but all in good Halloween fun. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Halloween season. Hmmm… It all seems too coincidental to me. Oh, and the same oddities happened last year at this time as well.

Maybe the cats are used as a portal by some kind of a paranormal energy. They may be a channel by which the ghastly, unknown spirits of ghouls and goblins are able to enter through into our world.

Who knows? It’s scary stuff anyway and just in time for Halloween. These freaky occurrences happened during the last few days leading up to Halloween. Take a look…if you dare. Ooooooh.

Best friends

Spooky’s contagious yawn

We’ve recently been having the good fortune of running into some friendly neighborhood cats while out enjoying the amazing autumn weather. The other weekend I was out for a walk around the neighborhood and this sociable little cat appeared out of nowhere. We made instant friends.

She also had lots to say and was a glutton for attention. She didn’t sit still the entire time she was around us. I was with my son and he was thrilled to see the cat. Our little friend rolled in the dirt, then on the street by the curb, then back on the dirt and grass and finally she was off. She meowed to us first as if to say ‘see ya later’ and dashed into a backyard on the other side of the street.

Fortunately I got some fun pictures to share with our readers. I’m sure we’ll be seeing this fun, little cat again sometime.
