The Barn Cat Returns, with Rabbits.

Posted by Pictures of Cats on Nov 26 2008 | BOC's Circle of Friends, Pictures of cats

Last weekend was our annual sleigh ride to see Santa. Surprisingly we ran into the same barn cat we met last year around the same time. Nice to see she was doing well. We still didn’t find out her name as it was too busy with all the visitors. Maybe we will next year. This year our feline friend had four to five rabbits to chase around. The rabbits seemed to be friendly and playful and certainly kept our barn cat well occupied. It was fun to watch and also the first time I had ever seen rabbits and cats playing together.

Miracle Cats

Miracle Cats

There have been a run of stories recently about cats that have survived unbelievable situations. I always hate to hear about bad things like this happening to any animal, but it’s always nice to read a story with a happy ending.

The first story I read was about Stewie the Cat. A victim of animal cruelty, Stewie survived unbelievable odds after being shot in the head with an arrow!

Then I saw a story about a stray kitten who survived a 22-mile car ride under the hood of a car.

A few days later, I read a tragic story about a cat that accidentally fell 17 stories. He was badly injured but miraculously survived the fall.

Next was a story about a cat that people where calling the luckiest cat in Britain. Bob the Cat was cruelly thrown out of a moving train and survived.

It’s horrible to hear about the vicious way people treat animals and the terrible situations our four legged friends have to deal with. Unfortunately some cats aren’t as lucky as these ones which is very saddening. On the other hand, it’s thrilling to see when a cat, or any animal for that matter, manages to overcome impossible odds.

You can read the original stories here.

It’s a Cat Halloween

Posted by admin on Nov 03 2008 | Cat Halloween

We decided to go out for an afternoon walk on Halloween day. The sun was shining and the air was unseasonably warm. It was the perfect weather to check-out all the fabulous Halloween decorations in our area. We were very surprised to see a lot of Cat Halloween decorations and Cat Pumpkin carvings during our walk. We obviously have more cat lovers around us than I thought. Here are photos of some of the cat pumpkins and decorations we saw on our walk. Enjoy.
