A Portrait of Frosty the Cat

Posted in Pictures of cats, Readers Cat Pictures on Sep 19 2008

Here is another fabulous piece of cat art from our reader Marie. It’s a wonderful portrait of her very first cat, Frosty. W never forget our first cat as they always hold a special place in your heart.

Sadly Frosty passed away due to kidney problems in 2001 but I’m sure he was a fantastic cat and lived a very happy life. Here’s what Marie had to tell us about Frosty… “This is the very first cat whom I “owned” after I left my parents house (cats own humans, a human cannot really own a cat). He was pure black with copper eyes. His name was Frosty.

I found him during a snow storm, on my doorstep. He was about 4 months old.
He lived from 1992 to 2001. He passed away right after my husband and I got married. At that time we had five cats between us. We still have three originals to this day who are all over thirteen, besides Jo, Van Gogh, Max and Charlie, they are all under six.”

Thanks for the artwork and story Marie!
