Miracle Cats

Miracle Cats

There have been a run of stories recently about cats that have survived unbelievable situations. I always hate to hear about bad things like this happening to any animal, but it’s always nice to read a story with a happy ending.

The first story I read was about Stewie the Cat. A victim of animal cruelty, Stewie survived unbelievable odds after being shot in the head with an arrow!

Then I saw a story about a stray kitten who survived a 22-mile car ride under the hood of a car.

A few days later, I read a tragic story about a cat that accidentally fell 17 stories. He was badly injured but miraculously survived the fall.

Next was a story about a cat that people where calling the luckiest cat in Britain. Bob the Cat was cruelly thrown out of a moving train and survived.

It’s horrible to hear about the vicious way people treat animals and the terrible situations our four legged friends have to deal with. Unfortunately some cats aren’t as lucky as these ones which is very saddening. On the other hand, it’s thrilling to see when a cat, or any animal for that matter, manages to overcome impossible odds.

You can read the original stories here.

Top 10 Safety Tips for no Scaredy Cats at Halloween

Posted by admin on Oct 27 2008 | Cat Halloween, Uncategorized

It’s important to keep your cat safe and stress-free at Halloween. We usually focus all our energy on our family and let our pets fend for themselves.

Halloween is a hectic and sometimes scary holiday for your cat. Here is a list common-sense tips to keep in mind this Halloween to help protect your pet from the ghosts and goblins.

  1. Try to keep your cat indoors during the days leading up to Halloween and on Halloween day as well. Some cats are used for pranks and satanic purposes by a few unethical individuals. Some animal shelters and the Humane Society will not let people adopt Black Cats from mid-October through to Halloween for this very reason.

Would you go this far to discipline your cat?

The Blender Defender in Action
The Blender Defender in Action

I wonder how many people have gone to this amount of trouble to discipline their cats besides this person? I mean wouldn’t be easier to just move the plant to another spot where the cat won’t get to it or keep your counters clear of food scraps and other things that attract them to the counter in the first place?

The people over at Blender Defender have set-up a motion detector blender to scare the crap out of their cats when they jump onto their kitchen counters. I think I would be too worried about my cats peeing everywhere if I did something like this.
