Lets give a warm greeting to Brownie and Georgia. Two very young, affectionate Cats. Both of them are outdoor cats and from their owner, Abena, tells us they keep pretty active doing Cat stuff.

Say ‘Hello’ to Sylvester, Tiger and Fila. Three unique, special cats from the Western Cape. Fila is a beautiful tuxedo cat and Sylvester and Tiger are both tabbys. Hmmm, three cats in one house, sounds familiar. Here’s what their owner had to tell us about this furry bunch.

Last weekend was our annual sleigh ride to see Santa. Surprisingly we ran into the same barn cat we met last year around the same time. Nice to see she was doing well. We still didn’t find out her name as it was too busy with all the visitors. Maybe we will next year. This year our feline friend had four to five rabbits to chase around. The rabbits seemed to be friendly and playful and certainly kept our barn cat well occupied. It was fun to watch and also the first time I had ever seen rabbits and cats playing together.
Our second visit with the Barn Cat

We met this out-going cat while going on a sleigh ride to Santa’s Village located near Milton, Ontario. After our visit with Santa we went into a barn that was set-up to be an indoor playground for the kids.
We met our friendly barn cat shortly after going into the barn to play. She or He joined us while we played in the barn and was obviously used to meeting strangers since we became friends almost right away.
Unfortunately we didn’t get a name (let’s call him ‘Milton’ for now) but we had a lot of fun hanging out together.
Milton happily greets us as we get inside the Barn to have some fun on the indoor playground.

New fun images for our pictures of Cats. Meet Daisy, aka: The Spitfire. Next we have Daisy. Daisy was also a rescue, though that was not apparent at first.

We had a relaxing few days at the end of our trip just hanging around Sita’s place and doing whatever. It was nice not having to worry about anything for a while. It’s sort of what a cat’s life is like; at least for Sita.
While we were relaxing on the porch watching the late afternoon sun dip down behind the trees and enjoying a cool drink, Sita decided to join us and do some of her own relaxing too.
Sita’s home is a nice secluded, quite place that’s perfect for kicking back and cleansing the soul. For a few hours, time stood still and we didn’t have a care in the world. It was a cool Cat Zen place to be.
This is our final post on Sita, and it’s a good one! Lot’s of pics of Sita’s enjoying her Cat Zen afternoon on the porch and a couple other spots around the house.
Our stay with Sita and her family was amazing. We’ll be looking forward to our next visit and getting away from it all again.
Here are some more pics from our visit with Sita in Vernon, B.C. OK, so she wasn’t on a hot “Tin†roof, but the title just sounded too good to pass up.
Sita has easy access to the roof at her place and uses it as another means of escape from Roxy, the family dog. Poor Roxy. Cats also love high vantage points so it’s a win, win situation for her.
From the roof Sita gets a nice high place to scope out the area and a peaceful retreat from Roxy’s over zealous playfulness.
Like most cats, Sita loves to sit in the Sun and catch some nice warm rays. Here she is sitting just outside her front door enjoying a sunbath in the morning sun.
This is Milo and Boris, two crazy Cats from the east side of town. Like the Band of Cats, Boris and Milo are also house cats. Their hang-out is a cozy little home in Pickering Ontario.
Each with their own separate personalities, these guys love to play and have fun, as most cats do, including relaxing on the family fireplace (when it’s not on of course).
Milo is the big fuzzy one who could do with some anti-friz hair product and Boris is the larger, long sleek shorthair. They are both awesome cats who definitely belong in the Band of Cats Circle of Friends.
Did you like our first post on Sita? We’ll here she is again. This time she’s using the garden fountain to get away from Roxy, an over enthusiatic family dog.
After an exciting drive through the Rocky Mountains (see the first pic) we made it back to Vernon, B.C. in the beautiful Okanagan Valley and met up with Sita and her family again. The weather was ideal and everyone including Sita were enjoying every minute of it.
We caught up with Sita hanging out in one of her favorite retreats. See how Sita uses the garden fountain to escape from Roxy, the family dog. Roxy is a high energy, enthusiastic dog. When he gets too playful for her liking, Sita jumps into the garden fountain to get away until he settles down. Luckly for Sita the fountain wasn’t running that day!
This is Sita, pronounced Seeta. Sita is an outdoor cat from Vernon, B.C.
She is the first cat related to the Band of Cats who lives on the other side of the country. We met Sita in her home town on a beautiful sunny day during our summer vacation.
Sita spends most of her day sleeping in a basket officially making her a basketcase. Eventually, she ventures out of her wicker bed of solitude to chow down and check out what’s happening outdoors.
Of course we have some shots of Sita at home doing her thing. There’s a wild ‘Yawn’ shot with a demonic look to it and some other fun images to add to our ever growing collection of pictures of cats.
We really liked Sita and we hope you enjoy our images. We’ll be back again to visit her and her family soon so we should have more pictures of Sita coming up in a future post.
