Jade always comes into the computer room every night for a visit when someone is working late. Most of the time I assume she’s looking for a late night snack.

Tonight I think she had a different agenda. She jumped onto the desk and started hitting the keys on the keyboard. She then just looked at me as if to say, “This room isn’t big enough for the two of us, so one webmaster has gotta go and it ain’t gonna be me.”

Frankly, I think she’s been coming in to see me all those nights so she can learn how to run a web site and eventually boot me out. Nah! She’s too nice to plot against me like that. Right?

Anyway, here’s Jade in the midst of her hostile take over.

So which is it? A couch that eats cats or a cat that eats couches? Looks like it’s the first one.

I was walking through the family room and found Spooky in a unique spot. It was something I had not seen before and was a bit of a shocker. At first it looked like the couch was devouring my Cat. Then an instant later I thought Spooky had some how gotten his head stuck under the Couch.

Realizing it was neither, I took a few shots. That’s when Spooky finally moved out from under the couch and gave me a “what?” sort of look, as if I was the one doing the weird stuff.

Spooky emerges unscathed. Were you hinding from the other cats? Having a bashful moment? That was a new/weird thing for you.

I know how this looks. You’re thinking Jade spends too much time smoking catnip or grew up on magic mushrooms, right? But you know what? It’s neither of those. Jade is just being Jade. She’s one of the more inventive of the four cats we have roaming around here. Jade see’s things from a slightly different perspective than most other cats.

She’s not just scratching her back either. No, no. She’s hangin’ out upside down just to see what things are like that way. She certainly likes to try different way of looking at things. Which is the main reason we got her in the first place.

We noticed she was a unique personality the day we first saw her at the Humane Society. All the other cats sat quietly in their cages while Jade was climbing the walls and ceiling of her cage. Jade stood out as an original and was my first choice.

The cage is long gone, but Jade still keeps up with her unique ways. Here are a bunch of pics of Jade doing here upside down thing.

Jade is one of the more creative cats in the Band of Cats. See has her way of doing things and no is going to tell her different. One area that she gets the award for originality is sleeping. We have this nice big cushy couch. Jade loves to spleep on the big cushy couch, but in her own way.

We think she looks like a chicken when she sleeps this way, so we’ve dubbed her ‘Chicken Cat’. Anyway, here she is as the sleeping chicken cat!
