It is Valentines Day; the day we spend time with loved ones. Spooky’s first love is the Sun. Happy Valentines Day Sun, thanks for keeping me warm during all those afternoon cat naps. I can feel your love every time I sleep in your warming rays. Dax can too.

It has been a mild February and the Cats are very lackadaisical and thinking that it must be summer by now. Dax is walking around looking like a lost Cat. Looks like he is gonna follow us around for some mutual company until he gets his second wind.

We put our Christmas Tree up in early December and were very surprised that none of the Cats bothered with it or were even curious about it. Very odd. We started putting a few presents under the tree and the next day we noticed something else with the gifts. It was Spooky. He was sitting there as if to say, “were did the tree come from?” I guess he finally got into the Christmas spirit.

Ah its nap time in the Sun again. Will Spooky ever get tired of sleeping in the Sun. Probably not. It’s a way of life for him as it is for hundred of other sun lovin’ cats.

Its Dax’s turn for some Sun time on the back door matt. He didn’t spend much time in the Sun though. Do black cats get hotter in the Sun than white cats? I’m not sure but he’s decided to move on early and find something more exciting to do.

This matt isn’t big enough for the two of us. Someone has to go. Spooky has claimed this matt as his own when the warming sun rays are on it. Today Dax has decided to get in on the sun ray action and Spooky seems to be ok with it but not impressed. We’ll have to see who will move on to another sunny spot.

Jade was stuck to me like glue today, rubbing and sniffing and meowing. I tried to take a picture but this is the best I could do. She smelt something on my pant leg. I don’t know what she smelt, but she was sure interested in it. Maybe I was in contact with some other animals in the neighborhood that day. Or maybe it was some residual juice from the can of Tuna I opened at lunch. AHA!

‘Today’s Cat Pictures’ feature pictures of our cats on a semi-daily basis that focuses on cute, lazy or funny activities from one or more of our cats. We may not have cat pictures from every day, but we’ll do our best. This feature is a spin-off from our Pictures of Cats 2008 Project.

These are some nice pictures of Spooky sitting in the kitchen at the end of the day. It’s quite late so he’ll eventually go upstairs and sleep for a few hours then get up and race around the house with the other cats until breakfast is ready.
