Jasmine’s rolling in the Sun series of pictures continues here in Part 2. This is a continuation of images from ‘Jasmine Rolls – Part 1‘. Here Jasmine hams it up even more for the camera with carpet rubs, stretches and more of her unique cuteness. Of course our little princess cat loved all the attention.

There’s also a little surprise after the pictures, or should I say my attempt at poetry that was largely influenced by the fine writings of Dr. Suess (from countless bedtime readings) and inspired by Poetikat’s wonderful poems.

So now, please join us once again as the roll-fest continues…

You still there. Good. Try to keep up. I may get the urge to roll again at any second…

Jasmine Rolls Again
It was one hour past noon,
when Jasmine began,
to roll among boots,
while the dishwasher ran.

She sat right down between them,
that’s just what she did,
then that Calico Cat,
began her routine,
of rolls, purrs and stretches,
and all things between,
like bobs, licks and twists,
right beside a sun beam.

She would roll to the right,
she would roll to the left,
then back to the right,
and again to the left.
And just when you thought,
she was finished and done,
would start rolling some more,
in the afternoon sun.

Jasmine rolled for hours,
at least that how it seemed,
until something disrupted,
her time with the beam.
First came a whersh,
then a whir and a schlup
that ended her rolling,
poor little Jasmine sat up.

On that timeless day,
Jasmine finished her time in the sun,
simply because,
the dishes were done.
