Pictures of Cats from Our Readers – Toby and Pongo

Presenting more wonderful pictures of Cats. Toby and Pongo are 2 month old brothers. Toby was the first to make his way into the house. I was on my break at work. I called home to talk to my mom and she told me that we had a new addition.

She had gone outside and saw one of the mothers carrying a kitten to the edge of the woods and leaving him there. The little kitten would start whining and the mother cat went right back to get him. My mother was afraid something would happen to him

She went outside and scooped him up and brought him into the house. He is so little and so adorable and so spoiled. He wants to eat all day, he wants to play every time we turn around and he has to cuddle up to somebody in order for him to feel safe. So sweet.

I found Pongo about 1 month later. I was outside feeding the cats when I kept hearing meows coming from under the house. I got the flashlight and went around the back of the house to look underneath it. I shone the light through the opening and saw a kitten tangled up in our black trailer liner.

It looked like he had been playing and pulled it loose and got caught in it. I crawled under to free him, but when I got to him, I saw that his leg was badly wrapped up in it. So, I thought I could wiggle it out, but it was too tight. I crawled back out and ran inside the house. I got a knife and took it back under the house. It took almost 10 minuted to cut him loose.

Unfortunately his leg was in terrible shape. It had swelled up to twice its size. I rushed him to the vet and they gave him a shot and about 2 days later, it went back to its original size. As a result Pongo could never be put back outside again. We hated to take him away from his family, but it was the only way to keep him safe.

Once he realized that his brother Toby was also inside with him, he quickly became used to spending his days indoors. Since then they have been inseparable. We love all of our cats, but there’s something about these two that just makes me fall in love with them over and over again. They are our beautiful baby boys, Toby & Pongo!
