Our picture of the month for July 2008 is of Jasmine doing what she loves to do… rolling. This picture was featured in the Pictures of Cats 2008 project July 28th post.

Jasmine is becoming quite famous around here for her rolling antics. We thought we would highlight Jasmine’s rolling with an especially cute picture of Jasmine upside down and looking straight into the camera without a care in the world.

Jasmine is a fun-loving cat and her regular rolling sessions around the house are a mojor testiment to that.

Our picture of the month for June 2008 is the ‘caught in the act’ picture of Jade, Spooky and Dax raiding the cat food cupboard. Jade is the front-cat with Spooky right behind him and Dax is keeping watch while the others are busy getting the loot!

They are well fed cats, but I guess they had nothing better to do and were up for a challenge. It was a well executed operation, at least unitl I showed up on the scene and caught them red-handed.

Another big yawn from Dax

Our picture of the month for May 2008 is of Dax performing another one of his classic yawns and was featured in our post A Year of Cats - May 02. I know, it’s a cat yawning, big deal, right? But it’s really the way the picture was taken that makes it look cool. It fits well with the yawn. That why we picked this image for our monthly favourite. Enjoy.

Jade as the Dark Knight!

Jade is in April’s picture of the month that was feature in our post ‘A Year of Cats - April 16‘. This was a no-brainer. We had lot’s of fun shots in April but this one stood out for me. Being a batman fan, at least ofthe last 2 Batman movies, we had to go with Jade’s Batman impersonation. The angle of the head, the pointy ears, the dark colors, and the sweeping tail for the cape all say The Dark Knight for me. We hope you like it too.

We’re a little late this month with our monthly picture due to a nasty virus that made a mess of our computer. Luckily no files were lost, just a bunch of time. We decided it was time invest in some proper virus protection (instead of the free stuff that’s online) so this doesn’t happen again.

But better late than never so here is our pick for March. A bit of a tough choice but the clear winner was Jasmine flying across the screen as Super-Cat from A Year of Cats - March 15. She’s really having a good stretch on the carpet, but it looks more like she’s your friendly neighborhood feline super-hero!

We love it. We hope you do too.

We took a look back at all the great pictures of cats that appeared on Band of Cats in 2007 and picked out some of the more memorable and popular photos. There were definitely lot’s of fun pics in 2007 (which made it hard to choose) and we had a blast taking them.

We’re looking forward to more great pictures of cats in 2008!
