Meet Tigier and Dakota, a cat and dog who have lived under the same roof for over six years. They both belong to my brother Doug and his wife Karen. Here is their story about how Tigier and Dakota get along at home after a rough beginning.

“Tigier was seven years old, and the king of the house, the day we brought home a new puppy, Dakota. Tigier was not at all pleased with our new addition and let us know it by swatting at him every time the puppy got in his way.

Dakota’s father is a husky and his mother is half American Staffordshire Terrier and half Pit-Bull. We warned Tigier that “Dakota will be bigger than you one day and he better stop swatting him”. As a puppy, Dakota would cry when Tigier swatted him.

Let’s welcome this adorable little creature to the world. This is Ava-gaborski. She 3 days old and extremely cute. Tiny too. Our reader, Deborah, tells us more about Ava:

“Here a couple of pictures that I took of miss ava-gaborski. She was one of my foster kittens (I do volunteer work the l.a. county shelter in downey). She was about 3 days old here. I also cropped this one down so that it is just my husbands hands and her.
One of the best parts of fostering kittens/puppies is that you get to name them!”

This is Bob. He has a bit of a strong personality, but what cat doesn’t. His owner, Deborah, tells us he a lovable Cat and that is whats important for any relationship between Cat and human.

Here is what Deborah told us about Bob:
“For the holidays this past year I made up photo greeting cards with the caption “Bob. Humbug! Did we really need a new dog?” Bob is a 7-1/2 year old grey tabby with plenty of cat-i-tude. And I couldn’t love him more if I tried.”

Meet Lohla. A beautiful Nebelung Cat who has a unique way of doing things. Our reader, Whitnie sent these fun pictures of her Cat Lohla in to us. Here is what Whitnie told us about Lohla:
“My 3 year old Nebelung, Lohla. I adopted Lohla 2 years ago from a shelter near by. She does the funniest things a cat could ever do. She is VERY talkative and Purs 24/7. She is a Gorgeous Nebelung with extreme personality! I Love Her!”

Spooky was a cute and funny Kitten. He was a very curious, adventurous little kitten and loved playing with the other cats. We recently found Spooky’s old kitten pictures in some old boxes. It was a great find. They were taken long before digital cameras were around. With the help of our trusty scanner we got them on the computer for everyone to see.

Spooky was definitely one cute kitten. It was amazing seeing his kitten pictures again after so many years. We hope you enjoy seeing our Spooky as a funny, cute little kitten. It certainly brought back some wonderful memories for us.

Meet Skitter. Skitter belongs to our reader Collen and she has sent us these great pictures of Skitter to share with everyone. We really like the name. It’s definitely one of the more unique cat names we’ve seen.

‘My cats name is Skitter. I named her that because she is so skittish. She is 11 years old and I’ve had her since she was 9months old. She was a rescue cat.’

Little One, a 13 year old Cat who is part Siamese, sitting on a hay bale.

“This is my cat Little One. He loves it on our farm. He is sitting by a hay bale this summer. He is a male who is part Siamese. Little One is quite the character. He loves to walk with me out in our fields. Although he is 13 years old he doesn’t act like it. Little One lives in upstate NY. He’s my baby. He knows what the words “cheese” is and “no” mean, but don’t say “ears” around him because he knows he is going to have his ears cleaned”

We stopped by our local pet shop the other day to see the pets in their front window. Each time we go they have a new bunch of kittens to see. We usually drop by in the afternoon when the kittens are napping.

As usual they always get a lot of attention from people walking by. This time they had some cute gray kittens and a few tortoise shell kittens. It was nap time when we arrived and they had chosen some unique spots to sleep. The kittens were taking a catnap on top of the litter box, behind the litter box by the window and beside the water dish.
