We went on a three day get-away recently to the Great Wolf Lodge near Niagara Falls. We had been a few times before and always had a great time with the kids. This time was no different and I think they actually added a few more things to do. The best part is the indoor water park. If you haven’t been and you like water parks it’s worth going. One of the memorable and unique surprises was a visit from a friendly Cat.
The morning after we arrived we had our surprise visit. It was a nice sunny day and unseasonably mild for this time of year. We opened the curtains on the double sliding doors in our room and we were greeted by a lovely grey Cat. We wanted to let the Cat in but we thought it would be best to let it stay outside.
It was the first time we had seen a Cat while visiting the Great Wolf Lodge. The kids loved it. I wished we could have found out the Cats name. It was a nice surprise and the Cat stayed for quite a while hoping that we would let it in. I took a bunch of pictures that are with this post.
The Cat eventually left to visit other rooms which was fine since we had a lot planned for the day and were leaving soon. I don’t know if it was good timing or a Cat’s sixth sense but when we came back to the room a few hours later the Cat was back for another visit. It was good seeing the Cat again.
While we were outside of the lodge we looked around for the Cat but didn’t see it anywhere. I assume the Cat lived in one the homes across the street from the lodge. Maybe it went home to warm up and take a nap. We’ll have to look for our furry little visitor next time we go back. Maybe then we’ll find out its name if we have the fortune to meet again.
